Ajloon Castle
Ajloun Castle is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Jordan and the most famous historical monuments in Ajloun Ajloun Castle, also called the Citadel of Ar-Rabd and the Citadel of Salah al-Din, is a castle located in Ajloun Jordan on the Bani Awf mountain range

The reason for the construction of Ajloun Castle
The aim was to prevent the deployment of Crusader forces in the Ajloun area and to protect the trade routes with Damascus and northern Syria from the intervention of the Franks.
And prevent them from any expansion in the area east of the Jordan River
The Citadel gained its importance in its unique strategic location:

The castle is important from its high-rise construction
It has a wide view of the Jordan Valley and Palestine from Lake Tiberias to the Dead Sea where one can see the mountains of Jerusalem.
