Jerash was the city of the pillars in the time of the ancient Semitic Arabs bearing several names such as “Gracha” and “Gracho”, meaning the place with dense trees

Debin Forest Reserve:
It covers an area of more than 60 square kilometers, and its height ranges between 500 and 1000 meters above sea level. The forest is spread over slopes of limestone and chalk limestone.
The trees are distributed according to the heights of the forest such as pine and oak trees
Other species, such as maple trees, pistachios, wild olives, and other plant species, are commonly found in forests.
The Debin Reserve was ranked as the most important in the study of protected areas conducted in 1998
Studies have shown that they are the best examples of pine-oak forests, as well as embracing at least 17 endangered species, such as the Vasque squirrel.

Columns Street:

Southern Theater:

It can accommodate about 3,000 to 5,000 spectators and is designed to fit the sound system in all its angles

For the Northern Theater:
It was built in the second century AD in 165 AD, and can accommodate about three thousand spectators, and is also used in cultural and artistic events such as the Jerash Festival.
The way of the nymphs:
This magnificent building was built in the 2nd century AD and features a collection of nymphs
One of the most famous is the Namfium Avenue built in 191 AD, which consists of two floors of marble basins and very beautiful fountains you will miss a lot if you do not plan to visit.
South Gate:
Also known as the Philadelphia Gate, it was constructed during the Roman wars in the second century AD.
North Runway:
Dating back to 165 AD, the amphitheater is of great importance in the northern part of the ancient city.
Temple of Artemis:
Constructed in the 2nd century AD, it served as a temple for the city's guardian gods, one of the most important historical monuments in the region.
Hippodrome:
A horse stadium and a circuit to showcase the Roman circus, occupies space in the heart of the archaeological area of Jerash
It takes a U-shaped shape in English, consisting of two walls and terraces rising above cellars from three directions.
Seminar Square:
An oval-shaped public space that occupies the center of the Roman city, serves as a market for the Old City; politicians gather for political discussions.
Cathedral:
It has a huge stone gate, carved with carved images; it is one of the most beautiful religious buildings in the region as a result, and dates back to the second century AD.
Jerash Pools:
It is a center for the ancient Roman celebrations of the coming of spring, and is a source of water supply for the city, where water flows in the heart of the city walls.
Al-Hamidi Mosque:
Named after the Ottoman Sultan Abdul Hamid II
Thanks to the Circassians built in 1887, it is characterized by its unique location among the ancient Roman ruins.
Amawy mosque:
It is located at the confluence of the main street (Cardo) with the sub-street (Dikmanos) in Jerash, the city of the majestic columns and is referred to as it was built in the eighth century AD.
Maqam of the Prophet Hood:
The shrine of the Prophet Hood is located on the top of a mountain in the eastern part of the ancient city of Jerash
The maqam consists of a room of up to 16 m, built over an area of approximately 160 m
